In the Air Tonight

Homeworld of the Black Empire and the seat of its power. With Emperor Cadmus' fall, this is ground zero of the reconquista.

In the Air Tonight

Isabel's red eyes opened in the cozily lightless pillow room. She sat up and yawned, her hair a mess, staring at a spot in the darkness far past the pleasure yacht's walls. She could feel that place. Nogatan.

Image

Her fingers constricted around a stray cushion so tightly that she would've choked the fluff from it had its quality been any lower. She felt a few dozen pillow feathers break beneath her painted claws and push up against the dense silk threads that contained them, but not push out. Nogatan was the place that had cursed her with fear. The childhood hell that had formed her dysfunction.

She consciously loosened her hand and stood up, took a deep breath, and brushed her hair back. Well, no more. She was a Lydeck, and she was going to snatch her own happiness back from the memory of sickness and evil. She stepped out of the room and walked towards the cockpit in search of her crewmembers.

Vorn's trenchcoat hung from a rack near the entrance to the engine room. He was wearing a shirt and a pair of heavy yellow gloves, which served to protect him from the intense currents of the machinery down here. He was in the process of inspecting the ship's cloaking device. It was a vaguely circular device that spinned and hummed, with two viewports on its sides. Within was held an incredibly rage Stygium crystal. Vorn had heard about these, they were rarer than a Twi'Lek without a victim complex since they got mined to exhaustion, so he wouldn't even have the barest idea how the thing worked.

I mean, some wires obviously went into the matching sockets, but that was about as far as he got. He was mildly concerned he'd have no way to fix this thing if it were damaged in battle, especially considering it was their only defense, but he figured there was no point lingering on those thoughts. What was going to happen was going to happen.

He took off his gloves. The ship was in as good a shape as it was going to get without a visit to a refitting station. At least, until blaster shots would start flying.

Imerus rested fitfully in the cockpit, eking out what meager comfort he could from the unforgiving room. His own chambers have been granted, for the time being, to Isabel. The pilot's chair did what it could to serve as a surrogate bed. Though, being but a chair, that effort was lacking in several degrees. Truly a situation of dire straits.

Adding on to this, the young man was unable to prevent his mind from wandering to unpleasant thoughts. Was aiding this man on Nogatan a wise venture? Was dealing with any Sith wise at this junction? Too much remained unsaid and the Dark Side was side to be potently prevalent at their destination. And his focus on resisting such vile influence was dodgy given the circumstances.

So he tossed and turned within the bucket seat as they neared their destination. His mood souring as the parsecs between them and their goal closed.

The feeling of static electricity prickling the skin on his arms gradually faded as Vorn left the engine room, his trench coat slung over his shoulder. Normally he'd be setting up contingency plans by now for those "what if" situations if their primary means of defense failed, but in this case there wasn't much he could do. Feeling he had energy to spare he headed to the engine room with the intent of checking their course. It wasn't normally necessary to do so, unless you were dealing with a really old navigational computer it was unlikely there'd be errors or undesirable course corrections, but Vorn felt uneasy without something to do.

Isabel turned at the sound of the engine room's doors opening and saw Vorn. Usually she would've continued on her way and allowed the ex-soldier to catch up, but today she walked back to move in parallel with him. She leaned a little forward and looked up into his face. He was significantly taller, and her motion suggested she might fall against his bare arm for support any moment. Yet, she was far more balanced than she appeared. She even ventured a smile.

"So I suppose you've guessed this isn't actually about Amon. You know me that well by now, hmm?"

"I assumed as much," Vorn replied honestly. "I doubted very much you'd help the likes of him without an ulterior motive, no offense Captain. I've attempted to remain polite and not probe into what exactly you aimed to get out of it."

Now that Isabel inquired if he had his suspicions, he did begin to ponder what she hoped to get out of it. Land on Nogatan? A share of the spoils? Artifacts? Knowledge? Considering how deeply Isabel hated the Sith and everything related to them, it was hard to figure out exactly what she would want from Amon.

Postby Gil Fallenstar » Sun Oct 28, 2018 4:41 am

The Fallenstars face lifted from where he had been letting it hang as he closed his eyes, despite the abundance of Force energy all around them even he could only take so much without it wearing on him. The dark and foreboding sky called to him from the center of the city and whispers filled his head if he allowed his mind to carelessly wander. He knew that if he kept himself focused however, the Dark Sides influence on him would remain just that, influence rather than the control it sought. Just like it's counter part, the Dark Side sought control over it's subjects just like the Light Side because in the end it was all the same Force, just two parts of the same whole and it's whole goal is to seek balance at all costs.

Even the lives of billions.

What had stirred him was the sense of something other than Dark Side had entered his perceptions, he even recognized some it, he could feel the life and Force energy of Isabel Lydeck as she arrived in the system, it was hard to miss the potency of their power, coming to the rescue just as she said she would. Though there were others with her, another darker energy in comparison and then... Light? He had to wonder what was going on with this, it wasn't as if they saw eye to eye on many things; but perhaps he was too cynical of the young from a life time of watching his back around Sith (and later Jedi) alike. Then again, anyone willing to associate themselves with the Dark Side was more than willing to cross that line if they needed too he imagined and she wasn't alone either.

"Try sending another message, I imagine they must be close," he told his apprentice and moved to look outside to see where they could, if they were going to, land and if the coast was clear. From what he could see and sense, it seemed to be.
"It was as if he lived in the far past while grieving over a distant future."

"It's been looping repeatedly since they said they were on their way," he told his Master, how exactly the man thought now was a more likely time than any other was beyond him but at the same time, he did check the console that they had been using for communication. They'd messed with it a little more and now they seemed to have been able to get rid of the flickering on the display. Whatever that meant.

"Once I get a hail back, I'll send them our coordinates exactly," he added even though it shouldn't have needed to be said. He wasn't going to broadcast their location on something that wasn't secure, it was doubtful that anyone was listening or looking for them but he wasn't about to risk it in a situation this abnormal.

Isabel stood straight up again. "My, that is polite of you." She put her hands behind her back, and cast a gaze at the richly textured ceiling. "I always believed you had thoughts of your own. After recent events it feels like there's a lot you hide from me at times." They were at the entryway to the cockpit. She paused for a moment, before looking Vorn in the eyes again. "I just want you to know, whatever happens you are irreplacable to me."

Vorn gave Isabel a look of amazement, as though those were the last words he ever expected her to say. He stuttered several times, unable to find his tongue. "C-Captain..."

Pride swelled in his chest. "I a-apologize for keeping things from you. I-I don't wish to be a burden, that's all. I feel the same way about you, Captain, and I'd follow you to the end of the universe and beyond."

Vorn seemed almost unable to find the right words to express how he felt, and the whole experienced left him feeling both flustered and joyful all at once.

Isabel smiled at Vorn, knowing her words gave him a bizzare upwell of emotions, but not really understanding what it meant. The servile sentiment in Vorn always disturbed her on a very deep level, but she enjoyed his company and who he was otherwise. She walked into the cockpit and looked out the window at Nogatan, a view slightly less troubling than the sparkle in her subordinate's eyes.

Twisting once more in the confines of his seat, Imerus weakly tossed the blanket off himself at the sound of voices. It was clear he had little desire to confront the vision of Nogatan before him as he turned his weary gaze towards the pair. "It appears that would be appropriate, of course." It took him several moments before he was able to successfully punch up the communications dashboard in his sleepy haze. Merely bringing it online before slumping back down. "Should be sufficiently tuned to the same signal."

"There we go," Gil said as the interface lit up in front of his son, it was clear now that he had been right and someone else was trying to contact them. But what was being said was beyond him, he could feel their presence and their emotions easily enough but that meant that there was a lot more variables about what could happen that he had though his apprentice would create.

"Well then that is that hmmmm"" he asked rhetorically to his apprentice, "If you're this far behind, maybe you should take a step back?" he asked knowing the affect it would have on his child.

Amon couldn't understand why his father thought they were close enough to feel but at the same time he knew that his life was on the line and therefore he had no room to complain over whatever else was happening. He had just been born in the wrong place, at the the wrong time. The turning of the century had become his life.

He didn't want that to be his legacy, his eyes moving to his father.

"Well, at least the broadcast is working," the son of the Fallenstar said.

Postby Gil Fallenstar » Wed Oct 31, 2018 4:42 am

The ships arrival stayed on the edges of his perception and senses constantly, in the current situation and his condition, it was nigh impossible to ignore the Force energy on that ship. He felt the Hunger like a beast that had been starved for years, Gil himself no longer needed to eat conventional food given his abilities but he knew that even if that wasn't the case, there was no way to fill the hollow expanse within himself. Memories of a long dead Sith Lord surfaced in his mind, seeing it as if he had actually been there as he recalled the way his body had wasted away as it was consumed by the Wound as it got stronger and stronger from overuse.

Gil knew that would be his fate if things got out of hand and that was something he couldn't allow, for both himself and the galaxy. The knowledge he had stolen from the Dark Lords holocron had to die with him, if that was even possible anymore. But the threat was far too great considering what the man who reached the pinnacle of the power exhibited.

He saw that his son was becoming increasingly anxious about what was going on or the lack of what was going on. The elder of the two also noticed that the ship while getting closer, wasn't hailing them and if that was the problem, they wouldn't be able to contact them to be picked up. Closing his eyes for a moment he reached out through the Force, following the connections that wove the galaxy together and bound it to the will of the Force; after a moment he found what he was looking for and decided. Walking over to Amon he laid a hand on his shoulder for a moment and focused on what he had felt from the ship.

The pair felt a tugging in their navel like something deep inside was trying to stay in the space they were in; then the world around them blurred and darkened as the elder Fallenstar ripped the fabric of space and time apart to Fold Space between two locations. It was difficult to make work when you couldn't see the place or hadn't been there before but it wasn't nearly as much of a problem as using it to cover planetary distances. Not even he was confident that he could pull that off without appearing in some random place in space. A moment later they were standing in a room, a bedroom from the looks of the bed that was in it and it was filled with... pillows? The two Dark Siders looked very out of place in such a room, it was clean, bright and fresh. The Fallenstars however, dressed in their dirty, darkly colored tunics were as far as possible from sharing the condition of the room they occupied; especially Gil himself as they Dark Side influence of the planet still had sway over him manifesting in the Pall of the Dark Side flowing off his body like a black mist that pooled around his feet as it obscured his actual body from view.

Both of the Fallenstars looked at each other after observing the room, then they glanced at Gils spice pipe he had been puffing on for hours and back to each other.

"So... are we..."
"I think so. You're seeing this right?"
"I am, I have so many questions."
"Have to admit though, it does look... comfortable."

Isabel looked down at Imerus, her brows furrowed in concern. He was the laid-back type, but he seemed a little less well-rested than usual.

In the next instant, she felt the dark side invade the ship and she jumped, landing on the back of the cockpit chair with her hands and feet like a startled cat. The space around her heated up around 10 degrees as she cast a wild look back towards Imerus's room. "Vosht on high!"

She managed to quell her surprise before any fire could arc off of her spine, mostly out of subconscious concern for Imerus, but she didn't come down from the chair despite the lack of dignity inherit in the position. Had something come from the planet onto the ship? "I believe... something... dark is in the room..." she murmured aloud. It was the familiarity of the darkness that held her panic off. Amon had someone with him back then, hadn't he? The perverted instructor. His father.

She motioned for Vorn to stay at the back and cautiously crept down the hall towards the pillow room. Slowly, carefully she rapped on the door, and even more slowly did she speak, each syllable drawn out by subdued alarm. "Is anyone there?"

Now that they were on the ship, or he assumed that was where they were, it was certainly a ship. Though unlikey it was also possible they had entered some sort of pillow factory but he didn't think that was the case this time. He moved through the sea of soft headrests towards the door, he supposed they had to look around to figure anything out, the spice he had taken from his father was making his head light despite the small amount he had smoked from the pipe.

Through the Force he could feel everyone on the ship now, he imagined that was how his father had known they were here? Recalling the sudden claim from before, that would have made sense but to feel them this far out? It wasn't a surprise that the man seemed to just know things if his perceptions had grown that far.

His thought train was broken when he heard a voice calling out and a rap on the door that he was standing in front of, it startled him a fair bit actually. But the voice was familiar and confirmed their location, they had to be on the ship Isabel brought to pick them up because it was her voice he heard through the door and she sounded cautious. What was he supposed to say? Just explain what his father had done? If they asked he supposed otherwise if someone told him the same thing, he'd think they were messing with him.

"Well are you going to answer her or not?" came his fathers voice over his shoulder, he shot a look back at his father that could make milk curdle.
"Yeah, we're here. Isabel?" he asked, making absolutely sure that he was correct but he could feel her through the door, his senses might not be as expansive as his Masters but he was still fairly adept in that area himself. A remnant of his Jedi training. "We uh, took a short cut?" he opened the door as he spoke, to see the smaller of the two Lydecks and then her pheromones hit him again or was it just the spice? He was sure that it was one or the other, he stared at the woman for a moment as she was still wearing the same outfit as when she was in the message. "Yup, definitely a sight for sore eyes," he repeated, almost to himself and then composed himself some.

The alarm that their appearance had caused was not lost on Gil-ch, his hearing was more than okay with his powers and he had thought he'd heard a thumb when they arrived but it could have just been their feet hitting the floor or ships just made all sorts of noises. Speaking of the ship from what he could tell if was very expensive, as if no expense had been spared, in fact maybe there were too many if you counted the pillows as expenses.

"Might have got the pillows a little mucky, didn't get a chance to change clothes unfortunately," he spoke, his words sounding like nothing out of the ordinary had just happened. Though he supposed in this case ordinary was relative as to him it was just another ability and even then the people present were far more than ordinary. "Hello again, haven't seen you in a while," gesturing vaguely with his hand as if he was waving his arm emerging from the dark fog that clung to him. He remained where he was however as he could feel the young Lydecks energy even more since they had arrived and given his current instability he thought better of approaching, he also imagined that her caution was on his behalf more than his sons; last they had been together they seemed to have gotten on quite well.

Especially considering how the boy reacted to people normally.

"I took the liberty of coming to you after I realized you were here," he told her then as if he had realized something else, "By the way, am I allowed to smoke in here? It's good for the... stress?"

Imerus blinked in surprise, arms flailing for a moment as Isabel perched atop the chair. Though, his reaction was born more out of his companion's than any deeper awareness of what had taken place in the Force. Such was the suffusion of energy on Nogatan to him. It took a moment before his bearing returned to him and he glanced towards the door of the cockpit. His senses slowly starting to notice what had already been observed.

"Something dark? I hope it is merely a forgotten chocolate cake. Or perhaps, at worst, an overripe banana with a history of vile behavior." He muttered, managing to rise once the chair was cleared of other occupants. It was not long after, padding on socked feet, that the young man made his way towards his astoundingly average bedroom. Stepping carefully as what energy remained in him was mustered, his demeanor was unable to relax as he heard their ensuing conversation.

"Eerie black mist, smoke, and worst of all, muck? This is far worse than an ill tempered, rotten piece of fruit, Isabel." He said, wearily and crossly. "I should assume these are acquaintances and not some form of minor, vexing fiend sent forth to inconvenience me with filth?"

Vorn reacted pretty much as quickly as Isabel did, instantly feeling the presence of two new entities aboard the ship as they entered. In the bleak emptiness of the void it was unmistakeable and practically impossible to hide. He drew his carved fang dagger and blaster pistol from his belt, taking up position on the other side of the door, ready to open fire at a moment's notice.

He relaxed somewhat, but not entirely, as he heard a familiar voice on the other side of the door. He lowered his weapons but didn't sheathe them. "You know there is such a thing as knocking. Or at least warning us you were coming over. If I were the Captain I would've vented the atmosphere in your room by now."

Isabel took out her fan and covered her face as Amon opened the door, mostly out of habit but also to conceal her reaction at his words, as she gave him a quick look up and down. He looked like an even bigger mess in person than he was on the holovid, but that had its own appeal.

Her eyes settled on his face. Last time they'd spoken, she'd found it challenging to really regulate her emotions. There were even more factors in the present circumstance. She knew Imerus would look distastefully on Amon for being fresh from some Dark side cesspit, possibly as a participant. There was really no telling, but sullying Imerus's bed was unlikely to help the impression. The news had the ship owner visibly cross. Some of the pillows had already been tainted by Vorn's blood after the crystal caverns incident and had been tossed out. Now there was filth on an indeterminate number of pillows in the darkness behind them. If things continued like this, why, the fluff levels might drop to downright reasonable.

Then there was the presence of Gil in the background. Oh her distaste for him had not decreased one iota, but now she hid it behind a fan and a sweet smile into the darkness. She may have rebelled against many things as a child, but the lessons had gotten through. Diplomacy, olive branches, and the big picture. This was not a place to flash her unprovoked and awful hatred for the man. Her hindbrain recognized his power and her higher thoughts recognized his friendliness.

"Be nice, Vorn." Her voice was still slow enough to exercise caution with her words, but luxuriant enough to conceal any apprehension. She chose to focus on her more positive feelings and stepped a bit closer to Amon, fan a-flutter. "That's no way to talk to a guest." She moved to his side, curling her tail around the spot he was standing as she addressed her two friends. If he permitted it, she'd get an arm around his filth-mottled shoulder as well, albeit she had to stand on her tiptoes to do so. "Amon, this is Imerus. Imerus, Amon. You two have something in common, don't you?" She closed her fan and smiled. "Perhaps it will be more visible when he's cleaned up a bit. I appreciate you indulging me in this small thing."

She gave Amon a bit more space, but remained next to him. "Would you prefer a meal or a bath first? I'd recommend the latter myself. And... Ser Gil..." She didn't turn to address him, which worked because she'd have to turn entirely around. "Imerus likes relaxation as well. A practical epicurean of the calming arts! Perhaps he could acquaint you with some fascinating new methods."

Some methods not involving smoking when there were already complaints about the creepy black mist. Vosht on high...

As Isabel lowered her guard so did Vorn, politely sheathing his dagger and pistol and allowing himself a moment to relax. Over the smell of wine and perfume was now layered a smell of dirt, ash and other smells typically associated with a battlefield. It kind of made Vorn reminisce about his days in the academy...

However, Vorn's jaw shifted as he saw the Captain getting a little too close and personal for Vorn's liking to Amon. Vorn lightly touched the butt of his pistol. He told himself he was readying himself to fire if Amon made a wrong move, but deep down he resented the lie. He had feelings he was trying quite hard to surpress, unsuccesfully perhaps, but he dutifully remained quiet about it.

Still, he couldn't help but vaguely hope Amon would give him an excuse to shoot.

"Well you have the ill tempered thing down," Gil replied to the... He looked again and squinted, then he looked to his son and back to Imerus. "This just keeps getting stranger and stranger - trust me, I've seen some shit." The pair were about as similar as they could seem, it was as if they were doppelgangers of each other. He thought about his past and recognized that he could have had another child somewhere he didn't know about but it was a little more complicated than that with his son; which raised an even more interesting question...

"We wanted to surprise you!" he said as if it was something nice, "and to be fair, there was knocking; but please don't vent the atmosphere, it would be such a waste," his eyes flashed as he said it, walls were not something he had a problem getting through but Amon was another matter if it happened to him.

Returning his eyes to Imerus when Isabel spoke of him to the elder Fallenstar, he could sense the energy off the man and given how close they were together, looking at him and his son side by side through the Force - it looked like positive and negative images of each other or a throwback to when Amon had gone by another name. "It's not meditation is it? It feels like someones going to suggest meditation."

Either way, he stowed the pipe and prepared himself for when it wore off, it didn't last long anymore such was his tolerance and with such temptation around coupled with his mentality after Nogatan? He wasn't looking forward to it.

Amon took a moment to look at Imerus, he had often been told that if you met someone who was identical to you. You wouldn't be able to tell because how you look and how you think you look at a tad different based on your perceptions. This however... well he could tell that there was similarities between them. "Imerus, I've heard about you," you said, he recalled the one time the name had been mentioned back on the desert planet when she had looked to him. He could see why now. He glanced back at his father, he had had three wives and all of them had been pregnant at some point... No, they'd know.

Isabel got very close, he watched her tail curl around where he was standing. He found comfort in it if only out of habit but he was also very aware of the influence she exuded but he wasn't in the mood to prevent it. He could sense the Light Side in Imerus and cocked an eyebrow, he didn't say anything though but he had been a Jedi before, was this also a former Jedi? If they were active duty, he imagined they'd not be just standing by as two fugitives arrived on his ship. When the sister Lydeck but her arm around his shoulders, reaching up as high as she got to compensate for the height difference, he used his own arm to support her waist as she did so. If he had thought her pheromones were potent before, such a short distance change could change a lot it seemed but maybe it was the spice.

"Bath?" he said almost as if he hadn't thought about it, hygiene hadn't been high on the list of priorities over the last few months; the only exception being to wash away blood. "Right, definitely the latter," he thought back to what had happened on Ilum in the shower and feared it was coming again but he pushed the thought aside as he saw Vorns hand move to his holster he raised his eyes to the other dark haired mans; meeting his gaze for a long moment, he clearly didn't trust him at the very least. Perhaps though? Amon reached out and touched her tail for a moment, not to grab but just feel, he had a sort of fascination with them now after some of the opponents he had fought and this one seemed even more unique than the others especially since her brother didn't have one.

"Please, lead the way," he added to Isabel, in all truth the idea of food and a bath was more exciting than he was letting on. He'd been itching all over since the first week on the planet and it had taken all his self control to not scratch himself bloody. As for food? They had had that covered for the most part with animals they had broken to assist, though they had not come here with them, that would have been even more alarming and they had another destiny for now.

A rare sound rose in Isabel's throat as Amon's hand fell to unexpectedly caressing a very sensitive--and now very warm--part of her anatomy. She commuted it to a brief coughing fit at the last minute.

As soon as the touch connected, Amon would feel a brief, but immense invisible force with no clear source violently yank his hand away. Vorn narrowed his eyes briefly. Something told him that was him, he did that, but it didn't seem to register.

He noticed his heart was beating in his chest as though he had been running from a Kath Hound. All of a sudden it became clear that he was not okay. He needed to get out before he did something everyone was going to regret.

"I'm going back to the engine room. Going to run another diagnostic to make sure we got through hyperspace alright," he said as he quickly turned on his heel and left. There was a sense of urgency behind his actions.

Imerus hummed to himself for a moment as Isabel spoke, eventually holdings his hands to the side in a gesture of defeat when given a moment. "No use dwelling on spilled spice, as my grandmother always used to say. Let this situation be hurriedly remedied so that we might discuss matters in a more lucid manner." He moved forward at that, passing by to gather the most recent casualties from among the innocent pillows. He tutted at the sight as the sullied, and in one instance pierced, items of comfort were collected.

"Surprises are best served, now that my mind is upon it, cake. Perhaps even a cupcake, should one be running late." Having taken up the departed in his arms, he moved back out, quickly depositing them by the exit door before turning around. "Meditation can be a lovely recreation following too many discombobulating drinks. But no, we'll clean you both up. Perhaps throw on a fresh change of clothes, I'm thinking buttercream in color. Then properly fed, I'm also thinking buttercream for the cake. Perhaps following some chicken." His speech lively, but not manic.

Seemingly energized with the task, and in-part to live up the the expectation of an epicurean, he blinked as Vorn moved off. "Do forgive Engineer Vorn. I imagine he's lamenting a lack of.. getting laid as of late." He said, stumped for a better word beginning with an L. "A most understandable ulcer that should be pitied. But off to the shower." Moving towards the back of the vessel, pointedly not addressing the similarities between himself and Amon. Nor perhaps the more problematic matter of their feeling in the Force.

All too soon the exploratory touch was over. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, she didn't want him to stop, especially not that suddenly. It felt almost like teasing.

But at the same time, it had messed up her careful handling of the situation, if only for a moment. It was her own fault, really. When she'd tried to arouse some feeling in the young man and prime him for her future proposal, she'd failed to take something into account. That is, the feedback effect. When she felt emotions from others around her, it affected her own mind. She stepped away from the personal bubble she and Amon shared, allowing Imerus to walk between them to get into his room, and it was then that the more negative elements in the atmosphere hit her. Vorn's was first, of course, and she regretted acting so loosely in front of him, but there was something else. Something much worse.

"Imerus will show you to the shower," she said, the politeness and warmth having suddenly drained from her voice and left it default and professional. She realized this gave the false impression she didn't like him touching her tail, but she was stuck staring fixedly at the spot in the darkness where Gil was. There was always the background feeling he was some unnatural thing. She chalked it up to him being a monster from Nogatan, but the emotion she felt off of him was disturbingly familiar. In her own mind it was a want that went unnamed, but she felt it towards Xanathe. Towards Sephlyl when she fought him. Felt it towards Vorn, at times. She suspected she'd feel it towards Amon if lust didn't persistently drown it out, but she didn't fully understand what it was. She hadn't put much thought into it, but feeling it so strongly in the darkness and aimed partially towards herself was so scary she took a couple of steps back before she realized it.

Amon felt his hand move against his will away from Isabels tail almost the moment he made contact, he glanced back at Vorn and to see him excuse himself quickly and leave. Then he looked back at Isabel who was beginning to speak after her... reaction which he hadn't missed, in fact he felt rather embarrassed about it as he had not expected such a reaction. Though the sound had been quite something, it left him desiring to hear it in its completion, he shook himself mentally as the tone of her voice changed and instructed him on how to get to the washroom.

"Well, I suppose I'll follow you then," he said to the other man, it seemed that neither of them wanted to say anything about their similar looks; the young Fallenstar had no issue with that either. It was still processing in his mind anyway.

Then Isabel seemed to stumble slightly or step away, he looked at her one more time trying to figure out why she looked like she had seen a ghost, he was going to ask but her tone from before changed his mind, perhaps later; for now he settled for following Imerus out of the room.

"Apologies," Amon told Isabel as he departed, it seemed he was doing a lot of apologizing of late.

Gil could see exactly what happened in the short exchange before the party began to disperse, his ability to follow the lines of the Force allowing a sort of residual image of the way it had been manipulated though given the man fast departure, he guessed that nothing was going to come of it. It brought an eyebrow up non the less and resisted the urge to smile, this could become interesting and he was curious what was going to happen.

While the doppelganger seemed to give no outwards issue with the situation instead just observing and commenting, he knew more than he was telling however from the way he worded it. Though it seemed obvious enough what was going on in that case and the mans calm demeanor was all but implied when one felt his energy, even when they weren't Jedi, the temperament was often similar.

His eyes turned to Isabel as he felt her eyes on him, he met them with his own emerald gaze. Now this was interesting, he knew how he looked at the moment given his... leakage but if that was what was bothering her then she'd have done the double take sooner. No, when she was looking at him, she wasn't looking at him at all but looking further past that and she didn't like what she found it seemed. He didn't break eye contact for a long moment, enough so they she knew he knew. As he did, the dark mist around his body seemed to become agitated, restless and increase it's output - taking a deep breath and wishing he could smoke his pipe, he brought the hunger back under his thumb.

"Oh wait for me!" he called out almost like they were going someone where exciting, in a way it was, he didn't feel it but he was going to be glad to be clean. He supposed he should eat as well, not that he had in a long time but from how the Lydeck girl had reacted it seemed a good idea. Speaking of, as he approached the door he gave her another look to see any more reactions and while he moved past her the blackness clinging to him once again seemed to extend tendrils in her direction as if trying to latch onto her. "Excuse me," he said in the same tone she had used on his son, a neutral but polite voice. He also held his breath, he didn't need a hit of those pheromones; he still recalled the influence her mother had had with them and he was far too high to deal with it; or the fact the door had closed and he didn't know how to open it, so instead he Phased through it to follow the two 'twins' further into the ship.
"It was as if he lived in the far past while grieving over a distant future."
